I’m Alex Solti, Founder of Future Funding. I’ve spent more than two decades working in the finance space, helping families and business owners across Australia secure funding, build confidence, and move forward with clarity. From home and asset finance to business lending, my focus has always been on relationships, trust, and doing what’s right for the client — not just what looks good on paper.
Over time, Future Funding has grown into more than just a finance business. We’ve built a team and a network designed to support our clients at every stage of their journey — financially, strategically, and personally.
One of the most exciting chapters for Future Funding is the partnership with John Tate, our Owner & Director Partner. John is a highly experienced accountant with more than 30 years in the industry. His background includes time with the Australian Taxation Office before building a well-respected public accounting practice, John R D Tate & Associates. John is known as a problem solver — someone who thinks clearly, explains things simply, and helps clients find smart, ethical solutions. He brings deep expertise in accounting, tax planning, cash flow management, business structuring, superannuation, and more. Just as importantly, John is down to earth and easy to talk to — our clients regularly say he “speaks their language.”

In 2025, Future Funding entered an exciting new chapter with the introduction of John Tate as a Co-Owner and Business Partner. John brings over 45 years of experience in Accounting, Taxation, Banking, and Business Advisory, through his highly regarded firm, John R D Tate & Associates, based in Brisbane.
John’s professional journey began in 1974 with the ANZ Banking Group Limited, where he developed a strong foundation in financial services before joining the Australian Taxation Office in Canberra in 1979. There, he deepened his expertise in taxation law, compliance, and financial management, experiences that would later shape his successful career in public accounting
In 1986, John established John R D Tate & Associates, a firm renowned for its professionalism, integrity, and client-first approach. Over more than four decades, he has helped countless individuals and businesses with Accounting, Tax Planning, GST, Business Structuring, Superannuation, Cash Flow Management, and Strategic Advisory.
John is also a long-standing and respected member of BNI (Business Network International), having built a wide network of professional relationships across Australia. His ability to think creatively and communicate complex financial concepts in clear, practical terms has earned him an outstanding reputation as a trusted advisor and problem solver.

John is an Owner & Director Partner of Future Funding and the Principal of John R D Tate & Associates. With more than 30 years in accounting and taxation, John brings deep experience and a calm, practical approach to helping clients. He’s built a strong reputation as a problem solver who explains things clearly, without jargon. John supports clients with accounting, tax planning, cash flow advice, business structuring, GST, superannuation, and more all with a focus on legal, ethical, and real-world solutions.
James Cruickshank
Partner | Buyer’s Agent & Property Strategist
James is a Brisbane-based Buyer’s Agent and Property Strategist, supporting Future Funding clients with expert guidance when buying property. He has over 20 years’ experience in senior finance roles, including CFO and Finance Director level work, and now brings that same discipline and risk awareness into property decisions. James manages the full buying process, sources quality homes and investments (including off-market opportunities), and protects his clients’ interests from start to finish. His style is calm, strategic, and supportive because buying a home is both a financial decision and a life moment.
